I can't speak for everyone, but I can never get enough NPCs for my Pathfinder games. And in Vathak, it helps if those NPCs match the setting's tone and races.
Which is why we're kicking off a new subline: Faces of Vathak. Each volume brings together a collection of NPCs around a single theme for use across Vathak.
Our inaugural installment gathers characters that have seen the worst Vathak has to offer and ended up bent, shattered, or perhaps even stronger for the experience. There's a lot of disasters in Vathak, from the personal to the continental, so these folks can show up just about anywhere.
The grizzled veteran has survived those disasters both personal and all-too-common, while the covetous vassal is still reeling from the fall of the Vampire Lords. Among the survivors, you can many of Vathak's races and a wide range of classes from the traditional to the occult, some with archetypes to make things come together just so.
There's a lot of cool stuff in here, so it'll probably be easier if I just show you:
So, those are our survivors. They're ready to show up fresh out of the book as friends, foes, or denizens of that shadowy place between.
And if you'd like to see more Faces of Vathak, be sure to let us know, because there's a whole continent out there ready to help or hinder your PCs.
